2-Car Collision on Yelm Highway Leaves 4 Hurt [Lacey, WA]

Lacey, WA (July 31, 2026) — On Tuesday afternoon, four people sustained injuries after a two-vehicle collision on Yelm Highway Southeast that caused one vehicle to roll over in Lacey.

According to Lacey Fire District 3 and the Lacey Police Department, the crash happened at the intersection of Yelm Highway Southeast and Corporate Center Drive Southeast shortly after noon.

Investigators said one vehicle was traveling west when its driver attempted to make a left turn and collided with an eastbound vehicle, causing both vehicles to overturn. Both drivers were in their 60s.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported all four occupants from the two vehicles to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities temporarily closed part of Yelm Highway while crews cleared the wreckage and towed the damaged vehicles.

The crash remains under investigation.
