2-Car Crash on Highway 60 Kills 1, Injures 3 [Ellsinore, MO]

Ellsinore, MO (June 26, 2025) — A fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 60 in Ellsinore left one man dead and three others seriously injured Tuesday night.

The collision happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. when the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield and entered the path of a Chevrolet Colorado, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The Colorado’s driver, a 35-year-old Ellsinore man, died from injuries sustained in the crash. His passenger, a 40-year-old woman from Ellsinore, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in St. Louis.

The Silverado’s driver, a 57-year-old Mountain View man, and his 51-year-old female passenger also sustained serious injuries. Emergency crews transported the driver to a hospital in Poplar Bluff, while the passenger was flown to a hospital in Springfield.

Authorities reported that the Silverado driver was the only occupant wearing a seat belt. The Colorado was destroyed in the collision, and the Silverado sustained extensive damage.

Multiple emergency agencies responded to assist at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
