Five Hospitalized After Crash at Loop 335 and Southwest 34th

Amarillo, TX (August 14, 2026) — On Thursday, five people, including three children, suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Loop 335 in Amarillo.

Amarillo police responded around 4:05 p.m. to the intersection of Loop 335 and Southwest 34th.

Investigators said a 16-year-old was driving a pickup north on the Loop when a Ford Edge entered the intersection while traveling east on 34th Street.

The Ford Edge, driven by a 31-year-old woman with four passengers, reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign before colliding with the pickup.

Two adults in the Ford Edge went to a hospital with serious injuries. Three children suffered life-threatening injuries and received treatment at hospitals in Amarillo and Lubbock.
