2-Car Traffic Collision on Missouri 21 Injures 1 [Jefferson County, MO]

Jefferson County, MO (August 21, 2026) — A two-vehicle collision on Missouri 21 in Jefferson County injured one person Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 3:10 p.m. on southbound Missouri 21, just north of Missouri 110. A 21-year-old Potosi man was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic behind a 2020 Nissan NV200 operated by a 32-year-old Cadet man.

When the Nissan stopped, the Chevrolet driver braked but could not stop in time and struck the Nissan from behind.

The Nissan driver suffered moderate injuries. Valle Ambulance District transported him to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for treatment. Both drivers wore safety devices.

The Chevrolet Sonic sustained total damage, while the Nissan suffered moderate damage. Authorities had both vehicles towed from the scene.
