Traffic accidents can happen in the blink of an eye — but their effects can last a lifetime. Every time you get behind the wheel, remember: staying alert and making safe choices can save lives. Avoid distractions, never drive under the influence, and always wear your seatbelt. Follow speed limits, keep a safe distance from other vehicles, and watch out for pedestrians and cyclists who share the road with you.

Take that extra moment to look both ways and yield cautiously at intersections — sometimes, that one second of attention can prevent a serious or even life-threatening crash.

Serious crashes can leave victims trapped and in urgent need of help. Always drive attentively and be prepared to assist safely in emergencies, while allowing first responders to do their job.

Life After a Traffic Collision

The effects of a traffic accident often go far beyond the moment it happens. Even after vehicles are removed from the road, the consequences can linger. Injuries may range from minor cuts and bruises to severe, life-altering trauma.
