LUFKIN, TX (November 10, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, a startling 18-wheeler crash on Loop 287 and US 59 South sent 2 people to the hospital.

The crash between a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler happened at about 2:00 p.m. on Loop 287 and US 59 South.

Lufkin police said two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash. The collision shut down the feeder road in front of Palms Shopping Center, according to the department.
