Injuries Reported in Maries County Auto Accident on Highway 133 near Dixon

MARIES COUNTY, MO (September 7, 2026) – Sunday afternoon, an alarming pickup truck crash on Highway 133 near Dixon injured 2 people.

The incident involving a pickup truck and a Polaris Ranger occurred at about 1:20 p.m. on Highway 133, two miles north of Dixon.

A 23-year-old Dixon man and his passenger were injured after a Polaris Ranger was rear-ended while turning onto a county road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the 2025 Polaris Ranger was traveling southbound and making a right turn when it was struck from behind by a 2016 Ram 1500. The impact sent the Polaris off the right side of the roadway and into a fence.

The Polaris driver and his passenger, a 24-year-old woman from Westphalia, suffered moderate injuries and were taken by EMS to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City for treatment. The Highway Patrol said neither occupant was using a safety device at the time of the crash.

The Ram was driven by a 22-year-old man from St. Robert, who was not injured.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. The Ram was towed from the scene, while the Polaris was secured along the roadside.
