Two Seriously Injured After Pickup Truck Crashes in Pulaski County
Pulaski County, MO (September 1, 2026) — On Sunday morning, two people suffered serious injuries after a frightening crash on Texas Road when a pickup truck ran off the road and crashed.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 12:08 a.m. Aug. 30 on Texas Road west of Tanner Drive. A 25-year-old St. Robert woman was driving a 2020 Toyota Tacoma eastbound when the truck left the right side of the road and hit two trees.
The pickup then returned to the roadway, crossed to the left side, and crashed into a ditch. The impact ejected both the driver and her 24-year-old passenger from Weatherford, Texas.
Emergency crews transported both victims to University Hospital in Columbia. The driver traveled by MU 2 medical helicopter, while Mercy Life Line flew the passenger to the hospital.
Authorities reported that neither occupant was wearing a seat belt or other safety restraint when the crash occurred.
Traffic accidents can happen in a split second, but their effects can last far beyond the moment of impact. Staying focused behind the wheel—avoiding distractions, never driving under the influence, wearing your seatbelt, and following speed limits—can make a real difference. Being mindful of pedestrians, cyclists, and changing road conditions helps keep everyone safer.
Sweet Lawyers encourages all motorists to drive with care and awareness. If you or someone you love has been injured in a collision, getting medical attention right away is critical. It’s also important to know that legal support is available to help you through the recovery process.
Always wear a seat belt, even for short trips. Proper restraints can reduce the risk of being ejected and help protect occupants during a serious crash.
