Injuries Reported in Fresno County Auto Accident on Highway 99 and Bethel Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 25, 2026) – Sunday afternoon, an alarming rear-end crash on Highway 99 and Bethel Avenue injured two people.

The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. on northbound Highway 99 just before the Bethel Avenue exit, just outside Kingsburg in Fresno County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man driving a white Mitsubishi was arrested for suspected DUI after a crash involving a Honda Pilot.

CHP said the Mitsubishi was traveling recklessly in the fast lane before veering right and rear-ending the Honda. The impact caused the Honda to lose control, overturn, and come to rest on its driver’s side off the highway.

Two people inside the Honda were able to get out and were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. They are expected to be okay.

The Mitsubishi driver stopped in the center divider and exited the vehicle. CHP said he was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence.
