2 People Injured in Disastrous Rollover Crash on Highway 5

Injuries Reported in Linn County Auto Accident on Highway 5 near Linneus

LINN COUNTY, MO (June 17, 2026) – Sunday morning, a disastrous rollover crash on Highway 5 near Linneus injured 2 people.

The incident involving a pickup truck happened just after 11:30 a.m. on Highway 5, one mile north of Linneus.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old woman from Browning traveled off the right side of the roadway. Troopers said she overcorrected, causing the truck to cross the highway, leave the left side of the road, and overturn.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. She suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital for treatment.

A 75-year-old male passenger from Browning sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Pershing Memorial Hospital. Troopers said the passenger was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
