Injuries Reported in Jamestown Scooter Accident on Highway 108 near Woods Way

JAMESTOWN, CA (August 7, 2025) – Thursday night, a crippling electric scooter crash on Highway 108 near Woods Way injured 2 teens.

The incident involving a car and an electric scooter happened at about 9:10 p.m. on westbound Highway 108 near Woods Way.

CHP says a 17-year-old boy from Sonora was riding a scooter with a 16-year-old girl, also from Sonora, as his passenger. 

They were traveling along the right shoulder of westbound Highway 108 near Woods Way when the scooter entered the highway and was hit by a westbound Hyundai Elantra.

Both teens were ejected from the scooter and sustained minor injuries. They were treated at the scene. CHP noted that neither was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Hyundai, described only as a female, stopped to check on the teens but then left the scene. No other details have been released at this time.
