2 Injured in Fatal DUI Crash on Viking Way NW [Poulsbo, WA]

Poulsbo, WA (December 26, 2024) –  A man and a woman were injured following a DUI crash on Viking Way NW Wednesday morning.

The fatal two-vehicle crash happened on Christmas morning at the 16200 block area.

Troopers said a driver believed to be speeding and under the influence drove into the opposite lane to pass a vehicle. That vehicle did not return to its correct lane and collided head-on with a man and woman in a Toyota SUV. 

Immediately, rescuers responded and rushed the man and woman in the Toyota to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. 

The authorities confirmed the wrong-way driver was killed in the accident.
