Police Investigate Crash on Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs, CO (August 13, 2025) – The Colorado State Patrol confirmed that a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 early Wednesday morning sent two people to the hospital. 

Authorities received the emergency call at approximately 5:53 a.m. on August 13. 

Although the cause of the collision remains under investigation, officials have verified that the incident involved four separate vehicles.

Emergency responders transported two individuals to a nearby hospital following the crash.

As of now, officials have not released information regarding their current conditions.

Crews shut down all southbound lanes of I-25 between South Academy Boulevard and Mesa Ridge Parkway while they responded to the scene. 

By 6:50 a.m., the Colorado State Patrol reopened at least one southbound lane to traffic.

In a recent update, the Colorado Department of Transportation advised motorists traveling both northbound and southbound in the area to expect delays of up to 13 minutes.
