2 People Hospitalized After Crash on Golden Center Freeway in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA (March 20, 2025) – (CHP) Grass Valley officers responded to a crash on Golden Center Freeway involving a Caltrans truck on Thursday afternoon. 

According to CHP, the accident occurred around 4 p.m. on Golden Center Freeway, south of Sacramento Street.

Emergency crews arrived to find a Honda Accord that had collided with the rear of a Caltrans Safety Truck. 

The Honda’s driver suffered major injuries, and paramedics transported them to Sutter Roseville Hospital. 

The Caltrans employee was also taken to the same hospital for evaluation, though their condition remains unknown.

CHP urged drivers to slow down in construction zones and when approaching stationary highway work vehicles to prevent similar accidents.
