Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Auto Accident on Avenue K and 6th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 3, 2026) – Wednesday afternoon, two deputies sustained injuries in a crippling vehicle crash on Avenue K and 6th Street.
The incident involving a silver Nissan Altima driving north happened at about 1:50 p.m. on Avenue K and 6th Street East, Deputy Trace Koerner said.
Two sheriff’s deputies and another driver were injured in a crash at an intersection in Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy Trace Koerner said the deputies were traveling eastbound in a patrol vehicle when they collided with a silver Nissan Altima heading north on Avenue K at 6th Street East. The patrol vehicle was unable to stop and struck the Nissan’s driver-side door.
The Nissan driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two deputies later went to a hospital on their own for evaluation after reporting minor soreness.
The deputies were not using their sirens when the crash occurred, according to the sheriff’s department.
Lancaster police, Los Angeles County sheriff’s personnel, and Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to the scene.
