Injuries Reported in Madera County Traffic Crash on Avenue 25 and Road 9

MADERA COUNTY, CA (October 9, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a disastrous auto accident on Avenue 25 and Road 9 injured 2 people.

The incident happened at about 4:40 a.m. on Avenue 25 and Road 9.

A preliminary investigation by the California Highway Patrol found that a man driving a gray 2020 Volvo with an enclosed trailer was heading north on Road 9, approaching Avenue 25.

At the same time, a 38-year-old woman and her passenger, a 22-year-old man from El Nido, were traveling east on Avenue 25 in a gray Toyota Corolla.

Investigators said the Volvo driver failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection, directly into the Toyota’s path. The Toyota struck the left side of the trailer and became lodged underneath.

Both occupants of the Toyota sustained major injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The Volvo driver was not injured.
