Injuries Reported in Hannibal Motorcycle Accident on US 61 and West Ely Road

HANNIBAL, MO (June 8, 2026) – Friday night, a disastrous motorcycle crash on US 61 and West Ely Road injured 2 people.

The incident involving a motorcycle and a car on US 61 and West Ely Road.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a motorcycle traveling on U.S. 61 failed to yield at a traffic signal and collided with a 2009 Mercury Milan at West Ely Road.

The motorcycle rider, a 19-year-old man from Hannibal, and his passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Hannibal, sustained serious injuries. Both were airlifted from the scene to University Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Mercury Milan, a 55-year-old woman from Palmyra, Missouri, was not injured in the crash.
