Police Investigate Three-Vehicle Crash on Mulberry Avenue in Lake Havasu City

Lake Havasu City, AZ (August 5, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash on Mulberry Avenue on Monday sent two people to the hospital, and police cited one of them for driving on a suspended license.

Lt. Frank Hayden with the Lake Havasu City Police Department reported that the crash happened at 3:29 p.m. near the intersection of Mulberry Avenue and State Route 95. 

A truck rear-ended a second vehicle, which then struck a third car.

The two injured individuals suffered minor injuries. While at the hospital, officers cited and released one of them, Gary Benson, for driving on a suspended driver’s license, Hayden said.

Videos and photos posted online show a black pickup truck smashed into the back of a white sedan in the left turn lane, with the sedan’s front end also severely damaged. 

Emergency crews, including ambulances, a fire truck, and police vehicles, responded to the scene.

Hayden added that investigators have not yet completed the accident report.
