High-Speed Police Pursuit Ended in Violent Crash on Pacific Avenue in San Francisco’s Nob Hill
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 20, 2025) — A high-speed police pursuit of a suspected stolen vehicle ended in a violent crash on Pacific Avenue in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood Thursday afternoon, resulting in injuries to two bystanders, according to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD).
The incident began around 3:35 p.m. when officers responded to reports of an occupied stolen vehicle near Fell and Divisadero Streets. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the suspect driver failed to yield, prompting a vehicle pursuit.
In the interest of public safety, SFPD quickly terminated the pursuit, but the vehicle continued fleeing at high speed. Moments later, the suspect’s car crashed into two occupied vehicles near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Leavenworth Street in the Nob Hill area.
Two people in one of the vehicles struck during the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene. Both suspects — including the driver who attempted to flee on foot — were detained by police.
They were later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the suspects’ names or booking information. The investigation is ongoing.
