2 People Injured after Startling Police Chase Crash on Zapata Highway [Laredo, TX]

Injuries Reported in Laredo Auto Accident on Zapata Highway

LAREDO, TX (November 9, 2025) – Saturday, a startling police chase crash on Zapata Highway injured 2 people.

The incident began when Laredo police Department officers investigated a fight near South Louisiana Avenue and Ligarde Street. Then, a car drove away and struck an empty patrol car.

Eventually, the suspect drove south on Zapata Highway until he crashed into three other vehicles during the chase.

Two people from the vehicles were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the driver will face criminal charges once he is released from the hospital.
