2 Injured in Pursuit Crash on Interstate 5 [Lacey, WA]

Lacey, WA (April 9, 2024) – Two people sustained injuries following a pursuit crash on Interstate 5 Sunday afternoon.

Troopers launched a police pursuit of a shooting suspect who was driving a southbound vehicle on the freeway. The suspect was traveling at a high speed while weaving back and forth between lanes of traffic. 

Officers said the suspect took exit 88 and drove back onto the southbound lanes onto I-5. During this time, the suspect was northbound in the southbound lanes.

As a result, the suspect’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle.

Officers were able to arrest the suspect at this time.

Moreover, the people riding the other vehicle incurred non-life-threatening injuries. One of them was transported to an area hospital.
