Injuries Reported in Dunklin County Auto Accident on MO 53 and Holcomb

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (August 20, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, two young adults were injured in a crippling single-vehicle crash on MO 53 and Holcomb.

The incident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. on MO 53 and Holcomb.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound car ran off the left side of the road and overturned.

The 18-year-old driver and his 18-year-old female passenger, both from Kennett, were injured. The passenger suffered serious injuries, while the driver sustained minor injuries.

Both were transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

MSHP said neither occupant was wearing a seat belt, and the vehicle was totaled in the crash.
