2 Dead in Auburn Auto Accident on Foresthill Road near Lincoln Way

AUBURN, CA (June 8, 2026) – Saturday, a brutal head-on crash on Foresthill Road near Lincoln Way killed two people.

The incident involving a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Tacoma happened on Foresthill Road, between Lincoln Way and Old Foresthill Road.

Authorities said a Toyota Corolla was occupied by a driver, a passenger, and a child. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver sustained serious injuries.

The child, who was properly restrained in a car seat, was not seriously injured and was being evaluated as a precaution, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Toyota Tacoma involved in the crash was occupied only by its driver, who suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital. Authorities said that the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Officials described the investigation as preliminary and said additional details about the events leading up to the collision have not yet been released.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the roadway remained closed. The identities of those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
