2 Dead in Yuma Motorcycle Accident near Gila Street and Giss Parkway

YUMA, AZ (May 26, 2026) – Early Sunday morning, a brutal motorcycle crash near Gila Street and Giss Parkway killed 2 people.

The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. near Gila Street and Giss Parkway, east of Interstate.

Investigators said a man was riding an Aprilia RS with a teenage passenger when the motorcycle collided with a Hyundai SUV that was turning left in front of them.

According to the Yuma Police Department, the 21-year-old rider died at the scene. The 17-year-old female passenger was transported to a hospital, where she later died.

Authorities have not publicly identified either victim.

Police said the 64-year-old woman driving the Hyundai was not injured. Investigators believe the motorcycle may have been speeding before the crash.
