2 Dead in Archer County Auto Accident
ARCHER COUNTY, TX (August 18, 2026) – Saturday night, two teenagers died in a devastating ATV crash in Archer County.
The crash involving an ATV happened in Archer County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, two teenagers died from injuries sustained in an ATV crash Saturday night.
DPS said a 12-year-old was driving an ATV carrying three other minors through an open pasture when he lost control, causing the vehicle to roll onto its right side. The 12-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 13-year-old riding in the front passenger seat was taken to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls with injuries. He later died from those injuries.
The other two passengers did not appear to be injured. They were released to their parents, who were advised to have them evaluated for any possible injuries.
