2 Dead in Saint Joseph Motorcycle Accident on Missouri 6 and 68th Road

SAINT JOSEPH, MO (June 29, 2026) – Early Sunday morning, a horrific motorcycle crash on Missouri 6 and 68th Road killed two people.

The incident happened at 3:55 a.m. on Missouri 6 at 68th Road, a mile east of St Joseph in Buchanan County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 53-year-old St. Joseph man lost control of his 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R while negotiating a curve.

Troopers said the motorcycle ran off the north side of the roadway, struck the ground on its left side, and continued into a steep embankment. The driver and his 47-year-old female passenger, also from St. Joseph, were both thrown from the motorcycle.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene at 4:19 a.m.

The motorcycle was totaled in the crash and was towed from the scene.
