2 Dead in Amarillo Motorcycle Accident on SE 3rd Avenue and S Lakeside Drive

AMARILLO, TX (August 25, 2025) – Saturday night, a brutal motorcycle crash on SE 3rd Avenue and S Lakeside Drive killed 2 people.

The incident involving two motorcycles happened on SE 3rd Avenue and S Lakeside Drive.

Police said a 2014 Harley Davidson and a 2016 Honda VT were involved in a fatal crash. A witness reported the Harley lost control and veered in front of the Honda, leading to the collision.

Both riders were thrown from their motorcycles and died at the scene. Neither was wearing a helmet.

The victims have not yet been identified.
