2 Dead in Kansas City Auto Accident on Blue Parkway and Westridge Road

KANSAS CITY, MO (July 20, 2026) – Sunday morning, a crippling 2-car crash on Blue Parkway and Westridge Road killed two people.

The incident happened at about 4:40 a.m. on eastbound Blue Parkway and Westridge Road, shared by Officer Alayna Gonzalez, spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department.

Two people were killed, and two others were critically injured in a crash on Blue Parkway, also known as Missouri Route 350, in south Kansas City.

Police said a Ford Focus carrying a driver and two passengers was traveling eastbound when it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Tahoe. The impact sent both vehicles into a ravine and a nearby tree line.

The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene. A rear-seat passenger later died at a hospital.

The Ford’s front-seat passenger and the driver of the Chevrolet were transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and remained in critical condition.

Police said none of the four occupants were wearing seat belts. The victims’ identities have not been released.
