4 Hospitalized After Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway in Gorman

GORMAN, CA (December 25, 2025) — A devastating multi-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway near Pyramid Lake claimed the lives of at least two individuals Thursday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The crash occurred around 2:56 p.m. near Vista Del Lago Road and involved three vehicles. 

When emergency personnel arrived, they found two people who had tragically died at the scene. As of Thursday evening, their identities had not been publicly released.

In total, six other individuals were evaluated at the scene. Two suffered minor injuries, while four others were transported to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation. 

Authorities noted that those transported were not believed to have sustained serious injuries.

The California Highway Patrol and emergency teams worked to assess the scene and investigate the cause of the collision. 

As of late afternoon, the exact circumstances surrounding the crash remained unclear, and no further details were immediately released.

The incident caused significant delays in the northbound lanes of I-5, which is a major travel corridor between Los Angeles and Northern California, especially during the busy holiday period.
