CASA GRANDE, AZ (October 7, 2021) – Wednesday night, two people died in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near Milepost 188.
 
The crash involved semi-trucks and vehicles that spilled various items and debris on the freeway.
 
According to DPS spokesperson Raul Garcia, two people succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, several others suffered injuries.
 
Moreover, the preliminary investigation confirmed that a semi-truck driver headed in the eastbound lanes. However, it drove across the dirt median into the westbound lanes. Then, it crashed with two semi-trucks and commercial vehicles. Eventually, the semi-truck burst into flames.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identities of the deceased. Meanwhile, several people were airlifted or transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals.
 
“State troopers will maintain traffic restrictions in the area for several hours while they investigate the reason for the collision and clear the roadway,” Garcia said.
