2 People Dead in Rear-End Crash on Soundview Drive [Gig Harbor, WA]

Gig Harbor, WA (June 7, 2025) –  A man, 66, and a woman, 65, who were riding an SUV, were killed following a rear-end crash on Soundview Drive Friday evening.

The fatal two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection with Grandview Street. 

According to the authorities, pickup truck driven by a 50-year-old man, and an SUV, were traveling north on Soundview Drive.

The pickup truck rear-ended the SUV.

Investigators said the pickup driver was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed.

Police said the driver’s daughter, 15, tried to gain control of the truck after her father lost control, but could not. The pickup truck passed multiple vehicles before it finally rear-ended the SUV.

Sadly, a man and a woman in the SUV were killed in the collision.

The truck driver and his daughter were taken to area hospitals. 

Meanwhile, officers are conducting a further investigation on the rear-end crash on Soundview Drive.
