One Airlifted Following Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 90 in Grimes County
Grimes County, TX (June 20, 2025) — On Thursday afternoon, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 90 south of Anderson in Grimes County sent two people to the hospital, including one person who required air transport.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened when the driver of a 2007 Dodge 3500 pickup truck towing a homemade trailer attempted to turn onto County Road 180 while traveling westbound on Highway 90. A 2010 Nissan Pathfinder traveling eastbound then collided with the truck.
Troopers reported that both occupants of the Nissan suffered injuries. One person sustained minor injuries, while the other was flown by air ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Officials have not released an update on the injured person’s condition.
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 2 p.m. The crash temporarily closed part of Highway 90, and authorities reopened the roadway shortly after 5:20 p.m.
When you’re behind the wheel, remember—you’re not alone out there. Every time you drive, you’re part of a community that shares the road. That’s why it’s so important to stay alert, drive responsibly, and respect others. Safe driving doesn’t just protect you; it keeps your loved ones, neighbors, and even total strangers safe too.
If we all do our part—slow down, stay focused, and avoid distractions—we can make the roads safer for everyone.
And don’t forget the simplest safety tip of all: always buckle up. Whether you’re the driver or a passenger, wearing your seatbelt is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent serious injury in a crash. Sweet Lawyers encourages everyone to make it a habit—every trip, every time.
Intersections and turning maneuvers on rural highways can be especially dangerous. Drivers should use extra caution, signal early, and remain alert to oncoming traffic to help reduce the risk of serious collisions.
Life After a Traffic Collision
The effects of a traffic accident often go far beyond the moment it happens. Even after vehicles are removed from the road, the consequences can linger. Injuries may range from minor cuts and bruises to severe, life-altering trauma. In addition to physical pain, many victims face emotional stress, mental strain, and financial challenges that can make recovery even more difficult.
If you’re ever involved in an accident, understanding your rights is essential. Having an experienced legal team by your side can allow you to focus on healing while professionals handle the complicated aspects of your case. With Sweet Lawyers, you don’t have to face this process alone—we’re here to advocate for the justice and peace of mind you deserve.
