2 People Injured in Deadly Crash on Highway 99 [Lynnwood, WA]

Lynnwood, WA (August 7, 2026) – A 34-year-old Lynnwood man was killed and two people were injured following a vehicle crash on Highway 99 Thursday afternoon.

The fatal collision happened before 4 p.m. at the 19600 block area.

According to the authorities, a police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for reckless driving but the driver did not stop.

As a result, the officer started a pursuit that continued east on 200th Street SW, wherein the suspect vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed onto two westbound vehicles.

The Lynnwood man, who was being chased, was killed at the crash scene.

Moreover, two people from the other vehicles were rushed to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
