2 Drivers Injured After Crash on Interstate 8 Near Holdridge Road

Holtville, CA (April 25, 2025) – Two drivers sustained minor injuries in a crash on Interstate 8.

A collision between a big rig and a small SUV injured two people and temporarily blocked Interstate 8 on Friday.

At around 12:30 p.m., authorities reported that the SUV struck the semi on eastbound Interstate 8 near Holdridge Road, causing minor injuries to both drivers.
The crash left the freeway blocked, with one lane reopening around 3:00 p.m. and the second lane reopening shortly after. 

While crews cleared the scene, traffic was detoured onto the frontage road.
