Mailman and Female Driver Hospitalized After Crash on Malinche Avenue in Laredo
Laredo, TX (August 28, 2025) – Two people sustained injuries in a crash on Malinche Avenue and Gustavus Street.
A white Kia and a United States Postal Service (USPS) vehicle collided at the corner of Malinche Avenue and Gustavus Street.
The crash forced authorities to block off Clark and Malinche southbound.
The 50-year-old USPS mailman suffered minor injuries, and paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital.
The 24-year-old woman driving the Kia also sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Ezequiel Arriaga, a nearby worker, rushed to help after he heard the crash.
He said he broke the glass to free the trapped mailman, who had glass on his face along with scattered letters and packages.
According to Arriaga, the injured mailman asked him to remove the debris and help him out of the damaged vehicle.
