HURST, TX (June 1, 2026) – Early Sunday morning, a brutal fiery crash on Loop 820 killed 2 people.

The incident happened at about 3:50 p.m. on the northbound Loop 820.

The department said callers reported that a vehicle had crashed into an embankment and burst into flames.

After firefighters extinguished the fire, police discovered two people dead inside the vehicle. Their identities have not yet been released.

Authorities noted that the vehicle’s license plate was destroyed by the intense heat, and investigators have not yet been able to access the vehicle identification number (VIN).
