Police Investigate SUV VS Pickup Truck Crash on 19th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (August 27, 2025) – Two police officers sustained injuries in a crash on 19th Avenue.

A crash early Wednesday morning in north Phoenix sent two police officers and another driver to the hospital.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene around 4:20 a.m. at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Dunlap Avenue, where a police SUV and two pickup trucks had collided.

According to Phoenix Police, one of the pickup trucks struck the police vehicle. 

First responders transported the two officers inside the SUV to the hospital as a precaution, according to Arizona’s Family on the scene.

Authorities believe the driver who caused the collision was intoxicated. Medics also transported him to the hospital, although the severity of his injuries remains unknown.

The crash shut down the intersection for several hours before crews reopened it around 7 a.m.
