Shafter, CA (March 11, 2025) – A 2-vehicle collision on 7th Standard Road early Saturday evening claimed the life of a person.

According to Shafter police, the fatal crash happened near the Gossamer Grove community in Bakersfield around 5:38 p.m.

Reports say that a two-vehicle crash claimed one life.

Authorities responded to the collision at 7th Standard Road and Gossamer Grove Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles involved in the crash. One driver did not survive. Authorities have not confirmed if anyone else suffered injuries.
