2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 25 Injures Child [Dunklin County, MO]

Dunklin County, MO (June 6, 2025) — A 10-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 25 in Dunklin County on the evening of June 4.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5 p.m. about two miles east of Holcomb. Investigators said a southbound Ram pickup truck entered the path of a northbound Nissan pickup truck, causing the collision.

The young passenger in the Nissan sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment. A 59-year-old woman riding in the same vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Poplar Bluff.

Authorities reported that the child was wearing a seat belt, while the woman and the Nissan’s driver were not restrained at the time of the crash.

The drivers of both vehicles, a 67-year-old Hayti man and a 50-year-old Delta man, were not injured. Both pickup trucks sustained total damage and were towed from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
