Two Drivers Hurt After Head-On Crash on Highway 63 in Adair County
Adair County, MO (July 15, 2026) — Early Thursday morning, 2 drivers suffered injuries following a head-on collision on Highway 63 in Adair County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly before 5:45 a.m. on Highway 63, about four miles north of Kirksville.
Reports say that an 18-year-old driver from Kirksville crossed the center line with his SUV and collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by a 74-year-old man from Greentop.
The older driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the younger driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Northeast Regional Hospital in Kirksville.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
