23-Year-Old Woman Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash Near Vanduser in Scott County

Vanduser, MO (June 11, 2025) — On Tuesday morning, a 23-year-old woman lost her life following a two-vehicle collision on Highway Z east of Vanduser in Scott County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Highway Z, about two miles east of Vanduser.

Investigators said the woman was driving an SUV westbound when it crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming passenger vehicle.

Emergency responders pronounced the 23-year-old woman dead at the scene.

The driver of the passenger car, a 19-year-old woman, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital in Cape Girardeau for treatment.

Authorities reported that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
