2-Vehicle Collision on Kittitas Highway Injures 2 Women [Kittitas County, WA]

Two Women Seriously Injured in Kittitas County Two-Vehicle Crash

Kittitas County, WA (July 26, 2026) — Two women suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision on Kittitas Highway in Kittitas County.

According to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of Number 6 Road and Kittitas Highway around 12:30 p.m.

Reports say that a southbound car turned onto Kittitas Highway and collided with an eastbound pickup truck. The impact trapped both women inside the car and brought down nearby power lines.

Emergency crews from Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue used specialized equipment to free the occupants. A medical helicopter transported the passenger to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, while the driver was taken to the same hospital by ambulance. Authorities said both women are in stable condition.

The occupants of the pickup truck were not injured. Officials closed portions of Number 6 Road and Kittitas Highway for several hours while investigators examined the scene and utility crews repaired the damaged power lines. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
