2-Vehicle Collision on Loop 337 Results in Injuries [New Braunfels, TX]

New Braunfels, TX (September 18, 2026) — A 2-vehicle collision on Loop 337 involving a Comal ISD school bus and an 18-wheeler injured two drivers and closed part of Altgelt Lane in New Braunfels, Texas.

The crash happened Thursday, Sept. 17, near Loop 337 and Altgelt Lane. No children were aboard the school bus when the collision occurred.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. Police closed Altgelt Lane between Wald Road and Loop 337 while emergency crews worked at the scene.

Authorities had not released a cause for the crash as the investigation continued.
