BENTON COUNTY, MO (June 21, 2026) – On Thursday night, a crippling two-vehicle crash on Benton County Route MM near Highway 65 injured one person.

The incident happened at around 9:00 p.m. on Benton County Route MM near Highway 65.

According to reports, a vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with an SUV.

Moreover, responders airlifted the 67-year-old female wrong-way driver to University Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Also, officers confirmed that the driver of the SUV and his passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash.
