Frightening 2-Vehicle Crash on Central Avenue Injures Pedestrian [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (November 14, 2025) — On Wednesday afternoon, a man remains in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash on Central Avenue that sent a car onto a sidewalk and into him.

According to authorities, the collision happened shortly after 3 p.m. near Central Avenue and McDowell Road.

Police say two vehicles collided when a dark-colored car sped through a red light and clipped another vehicle attempting a left turn. The impact caused the speeding car to swerve off the roadway and strike a man on the sidewalk.

No other injuries were reported. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
