Motorcyclist Dies After Crash on College Avenue in Fort Collins

Fort Collins, CO (May 27, 2025) — A motorcyclist died after a crash on College Avenue involving a car Sunday afternoon in Fort Collins, according to local police.

Investigators said the collision happened on College Avenue and involved a 1996 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 2005 Nissan Sentra. Authorities believe the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when the Nissan exited an apartment complex on Lorien Lane and attempted to head northbound as well.

Emergency crews transported the rider to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police said the Nissan carried three occupants, none of whom were hurt in the crash.

Due to the severity of the collision, the Fort Collins Police CRASH Team took over the investigation. Detectives are continuing to examine whether a turning violation contributed to the fatal accident.
