Two Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Semi-Truck on I-10 in Indio
Indio, CA (July 4, 2025) On Thursday morning, 2 people were hurt and hospitalized after a frightening 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 10.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the horrific crash happened around 11 a.m. in the eastbound lanes west of Monroe Street.
Reports say that the crash involved a semi-truck and a Hyundai Sonata. Both vehicles were traveling in the same direction when they collided.
Authorities reported that the semi-truck fled the scene, leading investigators to classify the incident as a hit-and-run.
Emergency responders transported the Sonata’s driver and a female passenger to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital with pain-related injuries. Officials have not released their identities or the extent of their injuries.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash and search for the truck involved.
