1 Person Hospitalized After Crash on Interstate 15 in Baker

Baker, CA (September 4, 2024) – On Wednesday morning, one person sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 15.

The crash took place around 5:30 a.m. on September 4, 2024, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Traffic Log. 

The incident happened approximately 4 miles north of Baker on the northbound I-15 Freeway.

According to CHP officials, the crash involved a silver BMW SUV and a dark-colored sedan. 

The sedan veered off the road into a ditch without overturning, while the SUV sustained significant front-end damage and came to a stop on the freeway’s right-hand side.

Emergency responders, including the fire department and an ambulance, arrived at the scene. 

At least one person was taken to a local hospital, and two tow trucks were dispatched to clear the vehicles involved in the accident.

Debris was scattered across multiple lanes, prompting CHP to implement a traffic break to facilitate its removal. 

The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, Barstow Office.
