ST LOUIS COUNTY, MO (March 2, 2026) – Saturday night, a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 270 South near Manchester Road sent 4 people to the hospital.

The incident happened at about 8:00 p.m. when a dog interfered with one of the drivers on Interstate 270 South.

Police reported that a Volkswagen Jetta and a Chevy Equinox were traveling southbound when a dog in the Jetta got under the driver’s feet. The Jetta’s driver braked, and the Equinox rear-ended the vehicle just south of Manchester Road near West County Center.

The 18-year-old female driver of the Jetta and her two passengers, a 15-year-old girl and a 23-year-old man, were taken to the hospital. The 22-year-old male driver of the Equinox was also hospitalized. Authorities said all four people sustained various injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
