SCOTTSDALE, AZ (July 7, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, a disastrous two-vehicle crash on Loop 101 near Shea Boulevard injured two people.

The incident happened at around 1:00 p.m. on southbound Loop 101 near Shea Boulevard.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a vehicle struck another vehicle that stopped working for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders rushed two people to a hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed the southbound lanes of Loop 101 and the Cactus Road on-ramp to Loop 101 southbound. All lanes have long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified. 

Due to limited information, the DPS continued investigating the crash.
